Grading Policy

60%:  Homework, Homework Checks/Quizzes
40%:  Exams, Projects (AP Statistics), Explorations (OnRamps)

All Homework Checks/Quizzes may be made up for half credit (example:  if you get a 50, you can make it up to a 75, if you get an 80, you can make it up to a 90, etc.)  For each quiz, you have one week after it is passed back to make it up.  You must show me your corrections to the original quiz before you can take the make-up version.  You may only make up two quizzes per six weeks grading period.

For school-related absences, you must notify me ahead of time and make arrangements BEFORE you miss.  Non-school-related absences require a valid excuse before the missed assignment will be accepted.  All missed assignments must be made-up within two days of the absence unless other arrangements are made.

For OnRamps courses, students will only be able to take exams after the original date if it is a school-related absence.  Students who miss due to a non-school related absences will NOT be allowed to take the exam at a different date unless prior arrangements were made or a proper excuse is accepted by Ms. Cardenas.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Grades will solely be determined based on this criteria.  Please do not wait until the last week of the six weeks to worry about your grade.
