What to Bring

Exciting, huh?  Finally, your own place.  It's also the place first-year students tend to go overboard when buying stuff.  Here's the essentials:

Living:
 - A few sets of bed sheets
 - Comforter
 - Blanket, for when your roommate decides that 62° is totally a comfortable temperature in the middle of December
 - Pillows, maybe an extra one for when your BFF decides they'd rather sleep on the floor than walk back to their place across campus
 - Towels, including hand towels and floor towels for the restroom.
 - Laundry bins, one for clothes and one for towels.  If you want to get fancy, get multiple bins so you can sort as you go.

Supplies:
 - Pencils, duh.
 - Pens, duh.
 - Stapler; you don't want to print your five page essay five minutes before you need to leave for class and realize you don't have a stapler
 - Tape, clear, masking, and duct tape are the essentials
 - Scissors
 - Paper clips
 - Binder clips PRO-TIP:  use these to secure loose wires (such as phone and laptop chargers) to your desk.  Trust me.
 - Push pins, just a few to put stuff on the wall (check your dorm policies first!)
 - Calendar - stay organized!
